SCIENCE

Primary 1/2 have been learning about the human body and the importance of our skeleton.  They learned that without our skeleton we would be unable to stand up and that the skeleton protects important organ in our body, such as our brain, lungs and heart.  They had great fun making and drawing their own skeletons (and they were all desperate to take them home in time for Halloween). 

 Sorry the pictures are the wrong way round!!  I didn't realise I would be unable to rotate them😞  I will remember in future to take the pictures the correct way round!!

 DRAMA

The children in Primary 1/2 are loving Drama with Lori.  They are developing their movement skills, communication skills and their ability to improvise, as well as having lots and lots of fun.

Health and Fitness

Primary 1/2 had a great time completing the obstacle course as part of their Health and Fitness programme.  There were lots of red faces and sweaty heads 😅

MATHS IN ACTION

Games and activities to extend their Mathematical understanding and knowledge (and have lots of fun in the process).

Lets organise these numbers.

Counting sets of numbers to 10.

The boys are making fast work of sorting these numbers.

Can they complete the number square?

They've made a good start.

We can display the time half past.

Callum can count a set of 10 and I like the way he has organised his set.

Resaiha can also make a set of 10, she has organised her markers in sets of colours.

Sophia can count a set of 10.

Rhys worked on making a pattern.

Primary 1 worked with me passing beanbags and counting forwards and backwards within numbers to 20.

Eve and Ciaran had the job of finishing off the number square.

And .... they've done it.  A great team effort.
